Alba Berlin announced that guard Maodo Lo extended his contract with the club until the end of the 2022-23 season.
“I’m looking forward to the next two years with Alba and especially to finally play in front of our fans in Berlin again, if the pandemic allows it,” Lo said per Alba. “It’s very nice for me to be in my hometown, with my family and friends. After we finished last season with the championship, I looking forward to my extension and the future even more. I hope that we’ll continue to play so successfully that we will also grow in the EuroLeague, gain more and more experience and take the next steps as a team.”
Lo, 28, averaged 9.5 points and 3.1 assists in the 2020-21 EuroLeague, along with 9.2 points and 3.7 assists in the German League, helping Alba win the back-to-back domestic championship title. He was a member of the German national team in the Olympics.
